This Power Supply Unit is designed to work suitably with six numbers of Telecom equipment, viz., Way Stations Equipment using DTMF signaling as per specification no: IRS: TC-72/97. Such Power Supply Units are used in 25 KV electrified areas to avoid/reduce the line nauseas and unwanted noise to improve the quality of telecommunication.
The working principle of this PSU is primarily to produce regulated low volt DC at the desired setting considering the load condition and to maintain a constant charging current for the VRLA batteries and to reduce voltage as well as current ripple. In addition, the system is intended to have fast response and fail-safe protection. The PSU Unit shall also have some additional feature, viz., over voltage protection, under voltage protection, overload protection with fast corrective response together with various annunciations for indicating the system status. Power Supply Unit is designed to work suitably with six numbers of way stations equipment, using DTMF signaling as per specification no: IRS: TC-72/97. This is an RDSO de-controlled item wide Railway Board’s Letter, available to purchase on consignee/ Third Party Inspection.
